KVTriggerConditions Class Referenceabstract

Detailed Description

Set trigger conditions for analysis of reconstructed data.

Implements rejection of reconstructed events which are not consistent with the on-line acquisition trigger for the run.

This is an abstract base class: specific implementations for different experimental datasets derive from this class, and override the SetTriggerConditionsForRun() method.

To use, put in the InitRun() method of your analysis class a call to KVEventSelector::SetTriggerConditionsForRun() with the current run number as argument.

SetTriggerConditionsForRun.

Parameters
selectorpointer to user's analysis class
runcurrent run number being analysed
filteredif kTRUE, data being analysed is filtered simulated data, not experimental data

If required, this may be done by adding 1 or more global variables to the analysis class' "__internal__" list and defining an event selection criterion using the variable(s):

KVVarGlob* vg = selector->GetGVList("__internal__")->AddGV(...);
vg->SetSelection( any required particle selections );
vg->SetEventSelection( set conditions which must be fulfilled to accept events );

Note that the "__internal__" global variable list does not define any a priori particle selection criteria.

If filtered=kTRUE, filtered simulated data is being analysed: it may be necessary to modify the trigger condition event rejection criteria in this case
